Hattingh, Charl (Mr C)
My therapeutic work is grounded in mindfulness – focussing the attention in the here-and-now with an attitude of kindness and compassion toward oneself and others. My background in psychodynamic psychotherapy offers an understanding of how our histories shape who we are today and how we relate with each other – and how we may break with old ways that no longer serve us./n/nI provide brief and long-term psychotherapy for adults and couples who want to overcome emotional, mental and relationship challenges. People consult me for life questions, crises, transitions, stress management, anxiety, panic, depression, difficulties with emotional regulation, and sexual and gender problems./n/nBut therapy is not just about problems, it is also about finding out what is really working well. I do self-development work with people who want to mature toward a more fulfilling experience of their lives, with a deepened sense of meaning, purpose and connectedness to others./n/nI offer clinical supervision to other clinicians working with sexual dysfunction./n/nI am fully bilingual, conducting sessions in Afrikaans and English. For clients who are travelling or who live abroad or in remote areas, I conduct sessions via Skype/Facetime./n/nFor more information, see www.charlhattingh.com./n
